What is Prostate Cancer

Infection in Prostate Gland is called Prostatitis and the Diabetics are more prone to this infection. Symptoms include burning sensation while passing urine, fever, formation of pus.

Prostate Cancer causes

As the age advances the prostate increases in size and it exerts pressure in the urinary passage. Thus this result in difficulty in passage of urine and the stream becomes narrow and there is constant feeling of bladder not being emptied. It causes the bladder sensitive and irritable.

Patients suffering from prostatitis go to wash room frequently and face sleepless nights. It can even lead to stoppage in urinary passage, kidney failure or blood in urine which is also called as hematuria.

Who can get affected by Prostate Cancer and how to diagnose

Prostate Cancer can attack anyone above 50 years of age and it doesn’t show Symptoms in the early stages when it is curable. Early signs of Prostate Cancer can be diagnosed by undergoing a blood test called Prostate Specific Antigen also called as PSA and Digital Rectal Examination also called as DRE.

How to do treatment of Prostate Cancer

Antibiotics are used in treatment of prostatitis and these antibiotics should be taken for a longer period. If prostate cancer is confirmed then surgery should be done to remove prostate gland. Other procedures are Transurethral Resection of Prostate, Transurethral Needle Ablation of Prostate and laser surgery.
